FENDERFEST ROUND 3 (engl.)

Here is the link to register: https://www.tixforgigs.com/Event/72341
We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Registration starts here on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM on the website. A link will then appear up here. Please read everything here carefully until then 😉

The Fenderfest is entering its third round and is getting moving. This year we won’t be standing around the beautiful bicycles – we’ll be sitting in the saddle. The theme is “Camping”.

We want to make the journey the destination together with you and set up camp in the evening. We want to ride side by side and exchange stories about adventures from long journeys or short trips. For a moment, we want to shift the focus away from the most beautiful bike or the most exciting accessory, and towards everything that makes the bicycle the great machine of freedom that we love so much. Maybe you know the feeling after sitting on your bike every day for two weeks or more and searching for a campsite in the evening. Lighting a small fire and preparing your meal on dented old cookware. You never want to miss it again.

We may not be able to go on a weeks-long adventure with you. But we can meet and share our stories and listen to Tom talk about how he had to set up his tent at the foot of Mount Ararat using a night vision device, while a handful of militia members with machine guns slung over their shoulders inspected the bikes and the tent.

Anyone who wants to join us this year will need their best adventure bike, bags, and, if desired, a tent, sleeping bag, hammock, stove, cutlery, cup, and badminton racket … basically everything you need to escape everyday life for an indefinite time and be able to stay overnight on the road.

Because we want to ride bikes with you for two days this year, the start of the Fenderfest will not be in Groß Lüben as before, but at the main train station in Stendal (39576). The start is on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 9:00 AM. So please plan your arrival accordingly so that you are there early enough. Unfortunately, traveling directly to Groß Lüben is not possible this year.

From Stendal, we will take a scenic route along the Elbe towards the Prignitz region. At midday we will take a break at a lake for swimming and then continue via Havelberg to Haaren, where we will be part of the Krankenschwester rockt Festival. There we will have a meadow for ourselves to set up our camp and celebrate the evening with live music. Up to this point, the motto is self-sufficiency.

On Saturday morning, we will set up a large breakfast table in Haaren and look forward to treating you. After everyone has prepared a small packed lunch, we will once again head out under our own power for a beautiful loop through the Prignitz. We will go stork watching and keep our fingers crossed that the wind will be just right along the dike.

At 5:00 PM we will arrive in Groß Lüben, where our great organizing team will have prepared everything for a good meal. After everyone has eaten and the tents are set up, we will celebrate with you as every year – a small, exhilarating festival with Tine’s little bar, great music in the barn, and wild stories around the campfire. Food and drinks will be provided for everyone.

On Sunday, as usual, we will enjoy a long and hearty breakfast before gathering on the village street, swapping bikes, and briefly trying out each other’s rides.

Everyone organizes their own journey home. Those traveling by train will need to use the station in Perleberg or the route towards Stendal.

Registration

The Fenderfest is meant to be a festival for everyone who loves beautiful bicycles. That’s why it’s important to us to break up certain patterns a bit.

Last year I was really happy to see that the participants were much more diverse than the year before. To further promote diversity not only in the bikes but also among participants, we want to give everyone the opportunity to take part in the Fenderfest.

Therefore, a certain quota will be introduced during registration, and we will use the terms FLINTA* and cis male. In short, FLINTA* includes all people who do not identify as male. Anyone who would like to know more can refer to the corresponding Wikipedia article.

We have a total capacity of 130 participants:

95 spots are for FLINTA* or cis men with a FLINTA* companion (you don’t have to be a couple – just ask a nice person to join you)
35 spots are for cis men attending solo

We will not check your stated category during registration or at the event, but we ask you to respect this arrangement.

There will also be three different price categories:

€40 for those on a tighter budget
€75 the standard ticket
€125 for those who would like to contribute more

Children do not need a ticket and do not have to pay, but please let us know your family size for planning purposes. We plan to generate a surplus from the Fenderfest, which will be fully donated: half to the women’s shelter in Wittenberge, and the other half to a local nature conservation project.

Important
Please read carefully!

• Due to construction on the railway line between Berlin and Hamburg, there is no possibility this year to travel directly by train. The start is in Stendal, where all trains stop. Please plan your journey accordingly.

• Preparing the Fenderfest takes up a lot of my time, and I want to keep the impact on my family as low as possible. Therefore, please make sure to follow these two points:

  1. • Traveling to Groß Lüben is not possible.
    • Arrival in Groß Lüben is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 PM. Please do not arrive earlier.

• This year there is also the option to camp on the grounds of the Storchenhof in Groß Lüben. Nighttime noise levels there are significantly lower than on our main campsite.

• In addition, the courtyard area will be designated as a kind of safe space in the evening – for people who may not feel comfortable at a lively party or who simply prefer a quiet evening by the campfire without much alcohol.

• Participation in the rides is at your own risk. From Saturday evening in Groß Lüben, we have event liability insurance. Please make sure to read the liability waiver.

• Please use environmentally friendly washing and cleaning products.

• Departure by train is possible, for example, from Perleberg.
